There’s nothing like the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival — with more than 100 troupes in 1,000 live performances over 10 days – and there’s nobody like the Fringe fanatic!
While the average Fringe aficionado might take in 3, 4, or even 8 to 10 plays, true fanatics set their goal at 25 to 30 plays, or even more. It’s a daunting task that requires rigorous planning, determination and stamina.
You’ll spot the Fringe fanatic by their heavily annotated Fringe programs, backpacks, water bottles and running shoes. Some even join teams, like the “Fringe Fries,” who have been dashing back and forth across Old Strathcona for years.
