The You’re Welcome Edmonton Program involves a four step qualifying process that narrows down our nominees to 17 award winners. The qualifying process is necessary because Edmonton Tourism collects well over a thousand nominations each year.

Nomination- the first step in the qualifying process. Nominations are collected from Jan through to Dec of the calendar year.

Human Resources Evaluation Form- organizations will provide the program their feedback on each of their nominees. This step is important because it provides organizations the opportunity to influence the selection process.

Online Evaluation- nominees will provide their thoughts on why they love their job, and why it is important they do it well. Don’t worry, it’s only seven quick questions.

Interview Week

You’re Welcome Edmonton Interview Week - the last step in the selection process involves the top 20% of each award category meeting our industry volunteers. They will discuss what they are passionate about, their roles within their organization, and what outstanding customer service means to them.

Edmonton Tourism is happy to partner with Northlands to bring Interview Week to one central location - The Edmonton EXPO Centre. The You're Welcome Edmonton interviews will be located in meeting rooms 201, 301 and 302. Click here for a map!

Nominees please confirm your interview times with your organization's HR contact. You will need to arrive 30 min prior to your interview appointment, and the meeting itself will take approximately 20 min. To thank you for your participation in this year's program you will receive two complimentary tickets to the 13th Annual You're Welcome Edmonton Awards gala, May 7th, 2013. These tickets are valued at $100 each.
